About the event
UK Agriculture accounted for 49% of all UK methane emissions in 2021. While 62% of farmers say it is important to consider greenhouse gases when making business decisions, there are still conflicting views and ideas as to how we can achieve this on farm.
From a ruminant point of view, the key to reducing carbon emissions is through increasing efficiency and reducing waste so you only keep the animals that are needed to produce your end product.
In the first of the Improve Farm Sustainability series, we look at how we can influence the fertility of our herds to ensure we are as efficient as possible - reducing carbon emissions and also increasing profitability.
